At Next Gen, we know defending at U12 is about more than winning the ball—it’s about decision-making, teamwork, and discipline. At this stage, players are ready to take the defensive principles they’ve learned and apply them in more tactical, game-like situations.

Our sessions focus on refining 1v1 defending, improving body shape and timing, and developing the ability to work in pairs and small groups. Players also begin to understand concepts like marking, covering, and transitioning quickly from defense to attack.

Through challenging and realistic practices, we help players see defending as a key part of the game—one that demands focus, communication, and resilience.
